Reflective Letter
Dear Mrs. Reynolds,
The purpose behind my make was to reflect on all of the pain and suffering i have gone through in relationships, and turn these feelings into something positive. This is a romantic poem that I wrote to my future woman, as finding the love of my life one day is somethin I hold near and dear to my heart, as this cutout of a whole heart displays. This represents a large risk for me as i was hesitant to share my romantic poetry due to my personal feelings. I wanted to take a risk and challenge myself as it will improve my confidence as a writer, and maybe even inspire others to do the same, just as Auggie did for me in Wonder by braving school and the world as a whole, as he knew he would be looked at differently due to his appearance. This make of "my heart" and learning how to show emotion to reveal to others my poetry from my heart, demonstrates my desire and willingness to become a better writer and to learn to be an effective teacher of writing in the future, as the theme of risk taking shines bright through this make and ties together this MGP as a whole. Thanks to Auggie in Wonder, my romantic poetry is glorious and made wonderful.
